Jenine Garcia, founder of Strata Capital Advisory

Jenine Garcia founded Strata Capital Advisory to bring the same rigour and independence to strata funding decisions that owners corporations would expect from any major financial commitment.

Her background spans three decades in property and finance. She began as principal of her own real estate agency, then spent 13 years as a finance advisor — arranging lending for clients purchasing investment and owner-occupied property (not to be confused with a licensed financial adviser, a distinction Jenine is careful to maintain in her own work). For the past five years, she has specialised in strata funding, working closely with owners corporations and strata managers to make sense of the loan structures available to them.

Alongside this, Jenine has spent most of her adult life running her own small businesses, and has also worked within several multinational organisations — a combination that's given her a practical understanding of both sides of a funding decision: the discipline of a large, regulated institution, and the hands-on reality of running something yourself.

That combination of experience is what sets Strata Capital Advisory apart. Jenine doesn't arrange loans, and she has no stake in which option a committee chooses. Her job is simply to make sure that whatever decision an OC makes, it's made with a clear, independent understanding of what's actually on the table.
